# Pryk > Pryk is a cookie consent bar. Each website loads one static script, https://pryk.click/k/KEY.js, which shows every visitor the banner their local law requires. This file is for AI agents asked to install Pryk or make its bar match a website's design. If you were asked to restyle the Pryk bar, read the customization reference below before writing anything. It has the procedure, every setting, the compliance rules and the traps. Everything you need is public, and no account or API call is involved. Essentials, in case you read nothing else: - The bar is a `` custom element with an open shadow root, appended to ``, not ``. Site CSS does not reach inside it, except through tokens and parts. - Use the lowest level that works: (1) JSON config for colors, font, layout and wording, (2) the site's CSS with `--pryk-*` tokens and `pryk-consent::part(name)`, (3) the `css` key, injected into the shadow root. - Set JSON with `window.PrykConfig = {...}` in a script placed before the Pryk script, or with a `data-config` attribute on the Pryk script. - Keep Reject as prominent as Accept: same colors, size and visibility. Never hide or weaken Reject, Customize, Opt out, the policy links or the reopen button. Regulators treat this as a dark pattern. - The page can change only looks and wording. Legal behaviour is not available from the site. - The buttons differ by law. Check the EU, Italy and US versions: `?pryk_geo=DE`, `?pryk_geo=IT`, `?pryk_geo=US`. ## Docs - [Customization reference](https://pryk.click/customize.md): Procedure, config keys, tokens, parts, text keys, compliance rules, traps, recipes and verification. - [Config JSON Schema](https://pryk.click/pryk-config.schema.json): Validates the JSON you pass in `window.PrykConfig` or `data-config`. - [Explorer](https://pryk.click/explorer): Interactive preview with live compliance checks.
